Oh We're So Pretty!

Because we are Oh So Pretty, we had to throw a luanch party for this blog! Yes right, my blog actually, because I want all of you to be able to enjoy yourselfs as much as possible, because I believe that most people take their life way too seriously, I wanted to find yet another excuse to throw a party! Another excuse to let go, give in to that pretty girl smiling at you from across the bar, a place where the lights are low and the music is loud! And another excuse for me to play all my favorite bands, and just make a riot! And guess what I did............




I turned up a stylishly late for my own party, I was having an outfit crisis as us girls do, and any of you who think that is superficial, get out of here! It's just that nothing fits anymore, and not because I've gained weight, but because I keep losing it, I actually used to have tits!!But I know most will loathe me for it! And no I don't swallow speed tablets like you guys over in Hollywood, and I simply haven't haven't the cash to have my gut stapled! Only kidding......
But in the end, I found the cutests American Apparel Black pinafore shorts and dressed them up with a pair of killer 50s heels and some black lace over my shoulders, and of course loads of black kohl around the eyes, delicious my new favourite word!

As I walked into Rocket, I was greeted by the most amazing smiling faces, and of course all were my favourite people, the little international band of us who live here, there was Ed, David, Barry Tulip who we named Bazza Tules! Love it! Newly weds Anna & Frederik, Jin & recently re united Julie & David, bless!







The party didn't really get into full swing until around 12.30am, they love it late over here, but when it did it was cause I decided it was time to play 'Delivery' Babyshambles new track for their current album Shooters Nation, and did it roar, it worked, suddenly it felt like we were in a steaming smokin' karaoke bar, bodies bopping around, men acting like women, and women hunting for men!
And I just let it rip like that, deciding to play who are my favourite bands around right night, Pets With Pets, Ipso Facto, A place to Bury Strangers, Cajun Dance Party, etc....


But I guess suddenly the music took a turn, and I guess it was cause I played a Klaxons track that I love it's a soulwax remix and I don't know what happened but the night took a turn from there on, it was electronic all the way and then everyone was dancing, the kids that looked like they were out of Francis Ford Coppola's Rumble Fish were stuck to the DJ booth, looking mean with a bottle of rum and chain smoking cigarettes, Francis was blabbering something in my ear about life as a pirate and his new book the stories of apples, while on the dancefloor a rave was forming, and it was getting heavy. There was a guy that I swear could have get a job as a Vincent Cassel lookalike in La Haine, I mean he just looked so much like him, with his sahdes on he had a woman pulled close to his waist and he was shaking some ass!
But it was crazy, the mood insane, and in all we just get going right past our curfew! Another night, another party!
