Cazals park up at The Garage

It's already 8pm on Sat night when I hear through the indie grapevine that my dear friends The Cazals are to DJ at Milan's new indie hot spot The Garage. Phone calls, text messages and still I can't find Luca the Italian born guitar Cazal. So Amelia, Tommy & I decide to hit the road and rock up there in proper 'Here I Am' style, which is just what we did. Although I complain on the ride out of Viale Monza, how far this new club is when I arrive I am pleasantly surprised. Dark red wall line give a Echo Park underground feel to the place, and with a old style wooden bar and friendly bar men, I am liking the place more and more.
The Garage is a live venue and the stage is amazing! After hugs and kissed to the Cazal boys, Luca (guitar), Martin (bass) & Dan (guitar) are there to DJ, I chat with one of the owners of the club, Corrado who also rund Hard-Stuff a music promotion company, about putting on some bands there and collaborating together, I am excited, this could be good.


'Pulling Teeth'

Warming up on the decks are a Milan based DJ duo 'Pulling Teeth' one of their members Giulio I've known for years also plays with local band Hot Gossip. His girlfriend Alessia who works at VICE and is newly bleached blonde is huddling with a friend in the corner, I go say hi and snap a shot of them. Martin & Luca ponder on being single, while Luca looks chuffed that all is heavely with his sexy bass player girlfriend Pato - now working with Courtney Love! I am so happy for him!





The Cazals finally get up on to the decks, wicked elctro beats start pumping and I shout 'Turn Up The Volume' Meals & I can't contain ourselves, not surprise we are the only Brits on the dancefloor!





Now why is that? Why does everybosy wait for someone else to dance heyyyy!!! Anyway the boys got more into the music a TUNE came on by some Italian Luigi something that I need to source for a DJ set, Cazals you can DJ boys!!
